At the time you make your reservation, you pay for the first half by credit card. Two weeks before you arrive, an automatic payment will process on the same credit card for the second half. If your check-in date is two weeks or less, you must pay the full amount when making the reservation. DO NOT MAIL ANY PAYMENTS IN!

Cancellations occurring later than twenty (20) days before the scheduled commencement of the Term shall result in the forfeiture of the Deposit. If Renter wishes to reschedule his or her reservation, they may use their Deposit.

Where do I check-in and get the key to my cabin?
There is an office at the cabins, but it is used for cleaning crew only, so you will not be checking in at the office. A few days prior to checking in, a text message will be sent to the cell phone(s) listed on the reservation, giving you the 4 digit key code you will use to assess your cabin. When you arrive, go straight to your cabin (they’re labeled by name), and use your key code to get in. If you’re staying in Water’s Edge, don’t forget that it is NOT located at the same campus as Foxtail.

Since there is no office, where do I call if I need something during our stay?
Call (877) 736-9824 if you need anything. This number rings on a mobile phone that someone has at all times. However, it is only answered Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm for reservations, etc. If it is urgent and after hours or on weekends, please leave a voicemail and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

What is check-in and check-out time?
Check in time is 3:00pm. NO EARLY CHECK-INS ARE ALLOWED.
Check out time is at 11:00am, and each cabin has a “Check out Requirement” sheet that will give you all instructions needed before leaving.

What do I need to bring?
All of the cabins are fully furnished. All the bed linens are provided, and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the eating/cooking utensils and appliances you will need. You will be provided with the same number of towels as the cabin holds (Example: Moose sleep 6 people, and will be given 6 towels). Fresh towels will only be given to those staying more than 4 nights. I recommend bringing some extra towels. The bathrooms are not furnished with soaps, so you will need to bring any hygiene products you may need.

Do the cabins have outside chairs, a grill, and firewood?
Foxtail Cabins are furnished with a picnic table and a fire pit/ring with a grill top.
Water’s Edge Cabins are furnished with a patio table and chairs, an electric grill, and a fire pit/ring.
We do not supply firewood, but several bait shops around the lake sell it as well as the place north from the cabins (across the highway). You’re also more than welcome to bring your own.

Can we go fishing at the cabins?
There is a Catch & Release pond at the cabins that you’re free to use, as well as fishing at the lake. A fishing license is required for both.

Do you have TV?

Yes, in all of the cabins there are TV's in the living rooms. We have Dish Network in all of the cabins, but due to our remote location the Dish Network reception is subject to the weather.

Are pets allowed at your cabins?
Yes, we have several cabins that are pet friendly. Pets are limited to the area around the cabin which you are staying. You are also allowed to have your pet on the east side of the large pond and the trail to the lake. Pets need to be on a leash in these areas. Pets are not allowed in the other cabins or the area around those cabins.

What comes with your cabins?
The cabins are setup with all linens, towels will be supplied and only replaced if your stay is for 4 days or longer, dishes, and kitchenware. Toilet paper and paper towels are also supplied but will be limited according to the length of your stay. Just bring your own food and have fun.

Is there anything that I should bring?
We would recommend that you could bring lawn chairs for sitting around the fire rings or relaxing by the ponds. A crockpot is nice item for your meal planning. Beach towels if you are planning on going to any of the Rathbun Beaches. Please do not use our bath towels for this.

Are there fire rings at the cabins?
Yes, each cabin has its own fire ring and grill top.

What fun things do you have at the cabins for kids and adults?
We have a large play area that is adjacent to our large gazebo along with two large catch and release stocked ponds which will entertain both the kids and adults. We also have a 1/2 mile hiking trail that runs from the end of Foxtail Lane and Bobcat Lane to Rathbun Lake. Part of the trail does go through the Army Corps public land.

Where are you located?

Is there a daily towel exchange at your cabins?
